When the World Ends, Come With Me

Come with me when the world is ending
when the sun is heavy and dull
when the piratical lives of those who remain
are impossible dreams less substance than vain
when the floods and the fires encroach on our backs
we’ll face them together and let out a laugh:
“When our bones turn to ash our wills still shall abide,
and we’ll still be screaming ‘Despite!’”
So come with me when the world is ending
and I’ll come with you for life.

To Sail Into Space

Posted in The Porpentine, WikiLink on March 22, 2010 by

Welcome, Honored Guests and Crew, to the Porpentine.

She’s been around in one form or another for a long time, and has largely catered to, let’s say “subversive creative-types,” between times when the clientele was mostly, let’s say… “depressive clowns.”  I’m not sure what the difference is but that sounds right.  Always a haven for free-thinkers who don’t take themselves too seriously, the Porpentine moves on into the future with its “ownership” defined in the fine print of a digital document somewhere.

Join us, as we journey into space, collecting fragments of communications from cultures unseen–

–our ears are always open for information in any form: dross or gem.

And now, our final christening, our triumphant launch!
